Small commune a dynamic of more than 600 souls where artisans and local producers are always present. It is every day thatbeekeepers, market gardeners, wine growers and many other producers honour this generous land through their work.
Situated at about 630 metres above sea level, the village of Monte is bordered to the north by the municipality of Penta Acquatella, to the south by that of Silvareccio and to the west by that of Loreto di Casinca.
Dominated to the east by Mount Sant'Angelo, which rises to 1,218 metres, it encloses a small part of the right bank of the Golo in its territory.
Monte has a dense vegetation cover, consisting of thick, high Mediterranean scrub, groves of holm oaks and chestnut trees on the heights, mainly on the slopes of Mount Sant 'Angelo.
The municipality of Monte is marked by the presence of Neolithic, Bronze Age and Roman archaeological sites, as evidenced by the successive occupations of the Angiolasca site.
In the Middle Ages, the village was part of the pieve of Casacconi, formed in the middle of the 16th century into an individualized village community under the name of " Capella di Monte di Casacconi ", it consists of seven hamlets.
